It’s Thanksgiving and we’ve got a great craft for you to do with your preschooler that takes you outside to enjoy the beautiful fall weather. Your little one will love coloring and decorating their leaf turkey!
What You’ll Need:
*One turkey coloring sheet per child (see below)
*Print out one PDF or MS Word coloring sheet per child.
*Cut out the turkey if your child is not old enough to cut it out him/herself.
*Spend some time outside collecting brightly colored leaves to use for your turkey’s tail.
*Have your child color in their turkey.
*Use scissors to carefully cut along the line near the turkey’s tail.
*Tuck the leaves into the slot you cut along the base of the turkey’s tail. You want the bottom of the leaves to be behind the body of the turkey, while the main part of the leaves should lie in front of the coloring sheet tail.
*Glue your turkey to the construction paper, paying careful attention to the leaves. Be sure to put glue on the bottom of the leaves that are sticking out through the back of the sheet.
*Allow your turkey to dry.
